Design & Technology
By virtue of the especially sturdy construction areas of up to 35m² can be covered by one unit with a single cover. Units wider than 650 cm can be couples and have a single central guide track for easy fixture. The patented clip on brackets make fixture extremely easy.
Choice of fabrics
markilux awning covers made of acrylic or sunsilk snc are available. We recommend: Perfotex with the special wind and water permeable open weaving technique.
Extension
The maximum projection is 700 cm. The guide track can extend 100 cm past the final support bracket.
Operation
A hard-wired motor is standard. In the case of more than one field more than one motor (which can be operated independently) may be necessary.
Mechanics
Optimised gas piston modules independently keep the cover under perfect tension. An exceptionally rigid front profile minimises the sag in the cover and the profile.
Special features
Due to its own weight a certain amount of sag in the cover is possible. This will increase when the cover is wet. For this reason larger units are provided with a cover support tube. If the awning is fitted flat we recommend the use of a cover support tube in any case.

Wind sensor

Sun sensor
Many awnings are installed in order to prevent the heat of the sun from warming the lounge or bedroom during the day. In such cases it would be practical if the awning were able to extend automatically when the sun starts to shine, and retract once again if the clouds come out. A sun sensor, combined with a wind sensor, has been designed for this very purpose. This provides you with the added assurance that the awning will be retracted if the wind becomes too strong for the system, even if this occurs whilst the sun is still shining.

Electric drive with remote control
This tube motor is radio-controlled. There is no need to fit a switch - a small hand-held transmitter sends the required signal. The advantage of this technology is the simple mounting and the awning can be controlled from any desired point. The range is 300 metres.

Front tube (front profile)
The foremost rod on the awning is commonly known as the front profile or moving arm part. When one talks of front profiles one is referring to the struts, pipe-like in shape, to which the awning arms and the cover are both fastened. If necessary, the valance is also attached to the front profile.
