Discover a selection of markilux project references that have been implemented for schools and universities. The individual ideas of the facilities were taken into account in tailor-made sun shading concepts. Whether window shading was required to protect against glare and heat or to provide shade for outdoor areas, markilux project worked with the customer to develop the perfect solution.

Good learning environment
Vertical awnings contribute to a pleasant indoor climate. As the sun's rays are intercepted by the awning fabric before they reach the interior through the glass pane, the building heats up to a minimum. Pupils' concentration levels thus remain stable, even when it gets warm outside. At the same time, the window shading provides effective glare protection. The awnings thus ensure optimal learning conditions at any time of day or year.
A break in the fresh air provides new energy
When the bell sounds, the masses of pupils stream out of their classes into the break hall, the kiosk or, even better, the schoolyard. As concentration levels drop as the oxygen content in the classroom decreases, the break is a welcome change and a chance to relax. Outside, pupils can get some fresh air and recharge their batteries for the lessons ahead. Especially in the summer months, an awning system provides a protected break room. Harmful UV rays are blocked and if it rains, sun protection solutions often also offer protection from the wet.
Outdoor classroom: learning in a great atmosphere
Even outside the breaks, markilux awning systems can offer added value for outdoor areas in schools. As an alternative to the classic classroom, freestanding models such as markilux markant can be used to create outdoor classrooms. Teaching in the fresh air, protected from sunlight, is a highlight for pupils and brings momentum and variation to the school day thanks to the change of perspective from indoors to outdoors.
