Feriengut Oberhabach is located in the middle of the Kitzbühel Alps. The Seibald family invites you to spend your vacation on the farm in Kirchdorf, Austria. In order to offer the best possible comfort on the large outdoor terrace, the owner family decided to have a new awning system installed. They made use of the markilux project service for the implementation of this project. Our planning team also supports restaurateurs and hoteliers abroad in the planning and implementation of individual large-scale shading systems.
The Seibalds had already considered in advance what requirements the new sun protection should meet. Due to the combination of design and functionality as well as the quality and durability of the products, the choice quickly fell on markilux. Another plus point was the possibility of support from the markilux project and a qualified, local specialist partner.
Large-scale shading from a single source
Due to the customer's special requirements, markilux project suggested the installation of the pergola stretch model. Thanks to its special drive technology, the system is particularly suitable for large outdoor areas in the catering and hotel industry. For example, a 3-field system measuring a good 107 square meters was used on the terrace of the Oberhabach vacation estate.
Even more space thanks to space-saving mounting solutions
The use of the pergola stretch created additional usable space that was previously occupied by many parasol stands. The mounting method of the pergola models makes it possible to shade a large area without wasting much space. Thanks to the slender support posts, only a minimum of floor space is taken up. In the case of the vacation property, the system was even installed away from the terrace on the adjacent lawn. This means that the entire area can be used for entertaining guests. In total, the system now provides shade for a good 50 seats and thus offers sufficient capacity for vacation guests. Incidentally, even if anchoring to the ground is not possible, stabilization boxes can be used to securely fasten the system. Although this type of installation requires a little more space, the boxes can also be used as benches or flower boxes so that the lost space can still be used optimally.
Protection from rain
The new shading system should also protect against rain. Thanks to the wide range of awning fabrics and various types of fabric, the experts at markilux project had the right solution for the desire for a rainproof terrace. The light-colored awning cover is waterproof and makes the use of the outdoor area flexible. In addition, the integrated gutter and the pillars ensure safe water drainage even at a slight incline of 5°. This keeps the patio attractive even when the weather is not so good.
Individual design ensures a harmonious look
In addition to the functionality of the awning cover, the focus was of course also on its appearance. The modern character of the markilux pergola system had to match the traditional Tyrolean architecture of the vacation home and blend in with the alpine landscape. For this reason, markilux project recommended a light fabric cover and a brown frame color to match the natural wood elements of the house. The individually configured pergola stretch could be securely attached to the load-bearing wooden beams of the exterior balcony on the façade. The awning thus blends into the overall appearance of the vacation home and exudes an Austrian flair.
