FAQ
Valances

A valance is a decorative fabric that is attached to the front profile of the awning. It serves as a visual extension of the awning cover and gives the awning a classic look. In addition to its decorative character, the valance can also be used to conceal the technology of the awning. For example, on open awnings where the folding arms and fabric cover do not disappear into a cassette when retracted.

The fabric at the front of the awning is called a valance.

Each cover pattern has a colour-coordinated edging tape. The valance is made from the same fabric as the fabric cover and harmonises with the pattern. It is shaped symmetrically on both sides. For striped patterns, the heights and depths of the valance are matched to the stripes. Please note that valances ordered at a later date may not have exactly the same pattern.

Not every awning has a valance. Depending on your personal preferences, you can decide whether you want a valance or not. Valances are available as an option for various folding-arm awnings from markilux.

Valances are classically available for folding-arm awnings, e.g. for the markilux MX-1 compact, markilux 6000, markilux 5010, markilux 990, markilux 3300, markilux 1600, markilux 1710, markilux 930 and markilux 1300 models.
