This additional cover descends vertically from the front profile to create a wonderfully private room outdoors. Depending on the model, it is also available with a hard-wired / radio-controlled motor.

The markilux shadeplus is a kind of electric valance. It is stored in the front profile of your patio or balcony awning and, depending on the model, is extended vertically, either manually or using a motor. It protects your place in the shade from a low-lying sun and prying eyes.

With shadeplus – the awning inside the awning –you can achieve as much shade as you want, no matter, in what position the sun is. Without having to adjust the inclination of the awning, you can simply extend the shadeplus to the desired shadow depth.

The shadeplus' awning fabric is weighted down with a profile. With this perfect sun protection which provides privacy at the same time, you can create a secure and protected little area outdoors.During the day it closes out the sun, in the evening it keeps the cool away.

In contrast to awnings, in which the "more shadow effect" is achieved by adjusting the angle of inclination, the full room height is retained under a markilux awning with shadeplus - a "more room effect" is thus achieved.

Technical information about markilux shadeplus

The shadeplus drop is measured from the lower edge of the front profile to the lower edge of the valance profile. Due to tolerances in fabric thickness, the actual drop may be shorter than the nominal drop by up to 5 cm. Retract your shadeplus fabric cover immediately if it becomes windy because it is not very stable in windy conditions.

Attention:

For safety reasons, the shadeplus must be retracted before operating the awning.
Shadeplus is only available with seamless fabrics (wide fabrics, fabric width > 120 cm) or fabrics with cross seams (fabric width 120 cm) in plain designs.

Information about shadeplus fabrics

A shadeplus (the markilux invention otherwise known as a drop valance or vario valance) is ideally manufactured with a seamless cover or with horizontally joined fabric panels (the cover has a horizontal seam or bonded joint) to guarantee the best possible appearance.

Covers made from sunvas oversized material, transolair series 338.. and vuscreen Alu. Selecting vuscreen Alu may mean that a limited shadeplus height has to be accepted.
Covers with a horizontal seam: are made using plain fabric patterns from the sunsilk, sunvas or visutex collections and transolair, series 339.. as well as from Soltis Perform 92

Up to three coupled awnings for almost infinite shade

Depending on the model, you can connect two or three synchronized awnings for extra-large shade. In folding-arm awnings, a special roller blind elegantly closes the gap between the two awnings.

Enjoy the shade

Depending on the model, a continuous fabric over coupled awnings is possible. In coupled awnings without a one-piece cover, there is a gap between the covers meaning that there is an unshaded area in the centre of the awning. A junction roller on a spring-loaded barrel is fitted to cover this gap and this automatically moves in and out when the awning extends and retracts.

Your coupled awning can be equipped with a special roller blind depending on the size and model. Repeat shifts in the awning fabrics are possible with junction roller fabrics. A junction roller is not always possible when the maximum projection for the given width has been ordered.
