markilux project reference projects: Hotel Grand Elisabeth

When designing the outdoor area for the 5-star Hotel Grand Elisabeth in Bad Ischl, a solution was sought that would combine the historic charm of the spa town with state-of-the-art functionality. The choice fell on the markilux pergola style pergola awning, whose purist design creates an elegant bridge between the alpine nature and the classically elegant hotel architecture.
As the hotel's spacious Patio is to be used as a high-quality outdoor space both in intense sunlight and in unstable weather, the combination of technical robustness and aesthetic integration was the focus of the planning. The system not only offers protection from wind and rain, but also creates a special feel-good atmosphere for guests at any time of day thanks to individually controllable LED lighting.
Customised work for a harmonious overall look
The realisation of this demanding project was based on close coordination between the hotel management, the planners and the markilux specialist dealer on site. From the detailed consultation in the showroom to the final fixture of the linked systems, which cover an area of over 170 square metres, everyone involved worked hand in hand. Despite the technical challenges involved in integrating the lighting technology into the digital home control system, the entire system was installed within a week by a specialised installation team. The result is a harmonious overall appearance in which the chosen colours and materials blend seamlessly into the façade design and the surrounding mountain landscape.
