When extended - and also when closed in the case of open awnings - the colour of the awning has a significant influence on the overall appearance of your solar protection. "Which awning fabric to choose?" is the question that arises in view of the large selection. Depending on whether you want to buy a pergola awning in the garden, a freestanding awning by the pool, a balcony awning or a vertical awning, consider the visual characteristics of the surroundings. If you want your awning to blend discreetly into the landscape, choose the colour that dominates the location. As a rule, you can't go wrong with muted and classic colours such as anthracite, brown, green, beige and blue. If you deliberately want to make a colourful statement, opt for colourful awning fabrics in yellow, orange or red. If you would like other trendy colours for your awning, such as turquoise or pink, we will be happy to create these for you on request.
Consider the shade of the awning: when the sun is shining, the sun's rays reflect the colour of the awning fabric and bathe all objects under the awning in an atmospheric light. What colour do you want the shade of your awning to be? What is the colour that puts you in a good mood? And which colour matches the mood you want to create on your patio or balcony?

Hoe ontstaan knikvouwen?
Knikvouwen ontstaan wanneer het luifeldoek wordt opgemaakt en gevouwen. Vooral bij lichte kleuren kan er een donkere lijn zichtbaar zijn in het gevouwen gedeelte, die wordt veroorzaakt door plooivorming van de vezels (lichtbreking).
Golven in het naad- en baangedeelte
Deze kunnen voorkomen langs de zijnaden, in het gebied van de naden en in het midden van de panelen. Het doek is verdubbeld aan de naden. Dit resulteert in verschillende oproldiameters. De spanning gecreëerd door de knikarmen, het spansysteem, het doorhangen van de wikkelas en/of het uitvalprofiel kunnen deze effecten bevorderen. Golven kunnen ook ontstaan als er tijdens hevige regen een "waterzak" is ontstaan.
Hoe regenbestendig is mijn zonweringdoek?
Zonweringstoffen zijn geïmpregneerd met een waterafstotende finish en blijven regenbestendig tijdens een korte, lichte regenbui bij gebruik volgens de instructies van de fabrikant en bij een hellingshoek van minstens 14°. Tijdens langere perioden van nattigheid en/of hevige regenval moet het scherm gesloten blijven of worden opgerold om schade te voorkomen. Als het doek nat is geworden, moet het scherm direct na de regen weer worden uitgeschoven om schimmelvlekken te voorkomen.
Wat zijn zijzomen?
Het doek wordt meestal vezelvast op spanning gehouden door een actief veersysteem. Hoewel naden en zomen als versterking fungeren, moeten ze ook de grootste belastingen kunnen weerstaan. Wanneer het doek wordt opgerold, liggen de zomen en naden op elkaar, wat de druk en spanning nog verhoogt. Hierdoor worden ze extra belast en uitgerekt. Hierdoor kunnen de zijnaden iets doorhangen wanneer het scherm is uitgerold.
Hoe verzorg ik mijn zonweringdoek goed?
Stof kan worden verwijderd met een zachte borstel als het droog is. Bladeren en soortgelijke verontreinigingen moeten onmiddellijk worden verwijderd. Kleine vlekken moeten worden verwijderd met water en een in de handel verkrijgbaar, bij voorkeur vloeibaar mild reinigingsmiddel (5% zeepoplossing, watertemperatuur max. 30 °C).
