Combination of light and shade

Designer awning for glass canopies mesmerises with fantastic accentuated lighting

Underglass awnings are perfect for patio roofs and conservatories. Because under a glass canopy, they have plenty of protection. One new model is the “markilux 679”. It has clean lines in its design, provides plenty of shade and creates a beautiful interplay of light on the patio with its LED lights.

Unlike above-glass awnings, underglass awnings are fixed under a glass canopy. The cover, frame and mechanism are thus well protected and remain attractive for a long time. markilux now also has a new model in its range, the “markilux 679”. Its contemporary cubic design gives it a simple and elegant look, especially as there is hardly a screw to be seen.

Attractive lighting effects

Despite its lightweight look, the solar protection with dimensions of up to 30 square metres provides plenty of shade during the day. At the same time, users are assured attractive light in the evening. Discreet LED-Lines can be installed in the system housing as well as in the lateral guide tracks which transport the awning cover. The LEDs create a coloured or warm-white lighting atmosphere with attractive effects on both the cover and the façade of the house. The use of radio-controlled technology or an app ensures convenient control. These can also be used to create individual lighting scenarios.

Convenient technology

The special technology of the underglass awning ensures the cover stays taut when extended and retracted, and that it runs perfectly in the guide rails even in high winds. It can also be combined with the “shadeplus” function, an additional vertical blind integrated in the front profile, to protect against intruding glare. The “markilux 679” is motor-operated and can be automated using weather sensors or, in some cases, smart home technology. Infrared heaters can be integrated to ensure the solar protection can be used in the evening or also in cooler weather. The model comes in seven standard colours and is also available in special colours. markilux offers a large range of fabrics and patterns for the solar protection covers. 2,159 characters
