According to the prevailing weather conditions, this intelligent control system will extend and retract your awning automatically.
Intelligent control of your blind or awning according to the intensity of the sun’s rays. Battery operated, so there is no need for a mains power supply.
The awning retracts automatically in the case of precipitation. This intelligent control mechanism protects the cover on your awning.
Intelligent, sensitive and independent of the mains. The vibrabox is an inertia sensor and, depending on wind load, retracts the awning.
Awnings with sensors react to sun, wind and rain and, depending on the weather, retract or extend the awning fabric to be protected.
The best option: stay where you are. And simply operate the awning using the remote control, wall switch or wireless wall switch.
Considerably reduces the noise the motor makes when extending and retracting the awning.
Ergonomic stainless steel crank for manual operation of your awning or shadeplus. Depending on the model, awning gear with smooth servo support. Awnings with 3 folding arms and awnings with 4 m projection are only available with an electric drive.
Accessories offered by markilux
markilux operation, options and extras. Would you like to equip your awning with other extras? Browse through our wide range of optional awning equipment and find the lighting options, sensors and control systems that complete your premium awning according to your wishes.
Most markilux awnings are equipped with a gear unit including a crank as standard. Optionally, you can also order many of our awning models with a servo gear or a motor drive. With these electric awnings, the stainless steel hand crank is only used as an emergency hand crank (on selected models) - the awning is controlled in normal operation by pressing a button.
For an awning with a motor you don't need more than one power connection outside. You can control electric awnings via a switch in the interior, via radio remote control or via an app. The markilux control options at a glance:
markilux radio control wallsets
The markilux radio remote controls for awnings with input-output (io for short) are available in the following versions:
markilux radio controls
With the markilux hand-held transmitters and the appropriate radio motor, your awning can be conveniently controlled at the push of a button. The ergonomic markilux awning remote controls are available to match our designer awnings in an elegant look and they are available in many versions: on the one hand as a 1-channel- and 5-channel version in 433 MHz technology, on the other hand in a 5-channel version in 868 MHz technology. The features of the different variants at a glance:
433 MHz radio controls
868 MHz radio controls
Rain sensors for awnings
A rain sensor ensures that your awning is automatically retracted when it rains. The rain sensor can be fixed directly to a wall by means of a bracket or alternatively attached to e.g. the post of the awning itself. The power supply is ensured by sensor and power cables. Both are quick and easy to install.
In addition to being easy to install, the sensor is impervious to both soiling and oxidisation by virtue of a foil that protects the contacts. If the temperature outside drops, the sensor regulates itself automatically by means of an integrated heater. Product features of the markilux rain sensor:
Measures rain and snow
Integrated, self-regulating heating
Simple installation of the sensor and power supply cable
UV-stable housing and cable
Dirt-resistant
Quick and easy installation possible thanks to fixture bracket
Light and wind sensors for electric awnings
Thanks to the light and wind sensor you can just lean back and watch how your markilux reacts: If the weather changes, the automatic sensor triggers the right reaction. Your markilux will extend automatically as soon as the sun appears or retract into its cassette - of its own accord - if the wind picks up significantly.
Light and wind sensors are particularly practical, if you wish to protect indoor furnishings from fading or to prevent the interior of the house heating up excessively. This sensor is available in the following versions:
Light and wind sensor Soliris Uno (RTS) Depending on the prevailing conditions with regard to the wind and sun one awning will be extended or retracted. The wind threshold value is simply preset on the device. There is a sliding switch which can quite simply deactivate the sun sensor. The awning can then be controlled manually. This version of the sun and wind monitor is suitable for individual awnings.
Light and wind sensor Soliris IB (RTS) With this extended version of the awning sensor, you can equip several awnings at the same time, which can be retracted or extended depending on the weather. The Soliris IB sun and wind sensor is therefore suitable for group controls. A Centralis Uno IB individual motor control unit is also required for each drive. All individual control devices are connected with a control line (IB bus).
Radio controls 433 MHz = RTS
io radio controlled wind sensor Eolis WireFree io The battery-powered radio controlled wind sensor Eolis WireFree io can be mounted directly at the façade without any annoying cables. The wind threshold value can be set individually at the sensor or via the radio façade control Easy Sun io.
Sunlight sensors for awnings with motors
You can order an optional sunlight sensor for your electric awning for automatic control depending on the amount of sunlight. This is available in two versions: the Sunis SunS ensor RTS in 433 MHz technology and the wireless light sensor with solar module in 868 MHz technology. Both can be flexibly mounted on any facade.
The markilux sunlight sensor gives awnings with a radio motor extension and retraction commands and does so without any wiring to the power supply. The power supply of the sunlight sensors is ensured by built-in solar cells.
Up to three sensors can be taught into a radio motor. However, one sunlight sensor can also control several electric awnings. This sensor is available in the following versions:
Radio controls 433 MHz – Radio controlled sun sensor Wirefree
Official name: Sunis WireFree RTS wireless sun sensor
Can be flexibly mounted on the facade
For awnings with 433 MHz radio motors
Without wiring to the power grid
Power supply through built-in solar cells
Up to three sunlight sensors can be taught-in in a radio motor
A Sunis sensor can also control several radio motors
Radio controls 868 MHz = RTS
Official name: Sunis WireFree II io wireless sun sensor
Can be flexibly mounted on the facade
For awnings with 868 MHz radio motors
Without wiring to the power grid
Power supply through built-in solar cells
Up to three sunlight sensors can be taught-in in a radio motor
A Lumero-868 can also control several radio motors
868 MHZ = io-radio controls – Radio controlled sun sensor Sunis WireFree io
The battery-powered radio control wind sensor Eolis Wirefree io can be fitted directly to the wall without having to be wired into the mains power supply. The wind threshold value can be set individually at the sensor or via the radio façade control Easy Sun io.
Wind sensor vibrabox for electric awnings
Intelligent, sensitive and independent of the mains. The vibrabox is an inertia sensor and depending on wind load an awning driven by radio-controlled motor will be retracted automatically to protect it.
Load sensors based on the wireless transmission technology for dynamic wind loads. Battery powered so no power supply or cabling required. It is fitted either on the inside or outside of the front profile (depending on the awning model) without the bother of having to wire it in. Different levels of sensitivity are available.
Both the markilux Vibrabox using 433 MHz technology and the markilux Vibrabox plus using 868 MHz technology are compatible with the corresponding radio-controlled motors (please consult the accessories optionally available with each awning model). They are available in an anthracite (RAL 7043) or white (RAL 9016) finish.
The markilux vibrabox wind sensor is available in the following two versions:
